What is the a crusher?

A crusher is a machine designed to reduce large rocks into smaller rocks, gravel, or rock dust. Gulin® crushers include: jaw crusher series, impact crusher series, cone crusher series, mobile crusher series, hammer crusher, roller crusher, rod crusher, sand crusher and so on.

Gulin® Crushers are widely used in building material, railway, mining, chemical industries, highway, water conservancy and metallurgy etc. The products from crusher are extremely widely, they are around of us everywhere, just like building, cosmetics, paper, plastic, lacquer, toothpaste, pigment etc. There are more than 1000 types materials can be processing, almost all of the mineral resources are able to crush, such as cement, limestone, quartz, calcite, gypsum, ceramics, ferromanganese alloy, dolomite, graphite, phosphate rock, feldspar, fluorite, calcium magnesium, urea, coal and gangue, slag, talc, granite, marble, potash feldspar, barites, zirconium English sand, glass etc.

Working principle of Crushers

Jaw Crusherjaw crusher working principle

A jaw crusher reduces large size rocks or ore by placing the rock into compression, a fixed jaw, mounted in a “V” alignment is the stationary breaking surface, while the moveable jaw plate exerts force on the rock by forcing it against the fixed jaw plate. The space at bottom of the “V”, aligned jaw plate is the crusher product size gap, or the size of the crushed product from the jaw crusher. Due to the advantage of simple structure, reliable performance, convenient maintenance and safe use, our jaw crushers of various sizes are widely used in the crushing operation in metallurgy, mining, building materials, chemical industries and cement enterprises.

Impact Crusher Working principle

It uses plate hammer on the rapidly rotating rotor to generate high-speed impact to crush the materials in the crushing cavity, and casts the crushed materials along tangential direction to impact plate at the other end of the crushing cavity. The materials are crushed again, and then, they return to the plate hammer to undergo the process above repeatedly. The materials are bumping with each other when being sent between the plate hammer and the impact plate. The materials become cracked, loose and then comminuted by knocking by the plate hammer, impact with impact plate and bump between materials. The materials with grain size smaller than the gap between impact plate and plate hammer will be discharged.

sand crusher Working principle

The materials enter the crusher through feeder hopper, which is divided into two parts, one part through the middle of classifier entering into the rotating impeller at high speed, then accelerated, whose speed can reach hundreds of acceleration, then is shot through the tunnels around the impeller by the speed of 60-75 meter/second. First the materials will impact with some materials fallen around classifier, then impact on the whirlpool cavity’s scaleboard together, then will be rebounded and impact on the top of the whirlpool cavity, then changs its direction and goes down, forms continual material layers with the materials shot from the impeller. Therefore some materials will be impacted, crusher, milled twice or more times in the whirlpool cavity, then crushed materials will be excluded through the bottom discharging hole.
